Ingredients
  

Waffle Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Toppings
  • maple syrup
  • fresh berries

Method
 

  1. Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into waffle iron and cook until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove and serve immediately with desired toppings.

Notes

Do not overmix batter for fluffy waffles. For extra crispiness, let waffles rest on a rack instead of stacking.
