Ingredients
  

Main Component
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh mint optional
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out all excess liquid using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Add Greek yogurt to a mixing bowl and stir in the cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well, cover, and chill for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, let the tzatziki rest in the refrigerator before serving so the garlic and herbs fully infuse the yogurt.
