Brownie Cookie Batter
  • 8 oz dark chocolate finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • flaky sea salt for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter until smooth, then cool slightly.
  3. Beat eggs and sugars until pale and fluffy.
  4. Mix in vanilla and melted chocolate.
  5. Whisk dry ingredients separately and fold into wet mixture.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and chill batter for 30 minutes.
  7. Scoop onto prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until tops are crackled.
  9. Cool on pan for 10 minutes before transferring.

Notes

For the fudgiest centers, slightly underbake and allow cookies to finish setting on the baking sheet.
