Ingredients
  

Meringue Base
  • 4 egg whites room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Whipped Cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Strawberry Topping
  • 2 cups strawberries sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add sugar and whip to stiff peaks.
  3. Fold in cornstarch, vinegar, and vanilla, then shape onto baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 75–90 minutes, then cool in oven with door slightly open.
  5. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  6. Top cooled pavlova with whipped cream and strawberries before serving.

Notes

Ensure no grease or moisture in bowl when whipping egg whites for best results.
