- Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then sauté in olive oil and half the butter until pink.
- Remove shrimp and cook garlic in remaining butter for 30 seconds.
- Add broth or wine, lemon juice, and zest, then simmer briefly.
- Toss pasta into the skillet with pasta water until coated.
- Return shrimp, add parsley and parmesan, then serve immediately.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh lemon juice and avoid overcooking the shrimp.
