Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 12 oz linguine
  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
Flavorings
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs
  • stock pot

Method
 

  1. Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then sauté in olive oil and half the butter until pink.
  3. Remove shrimp and cook garlic in remaining butter for 30 seconds.
  4. Add broth or wine, lemon juice, and zest, then simmer briefly.
  5. Toss pasta into the skillet with pasta water until coated.
  6. Return shrimp, add parsley and parmesan, then serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh lemon juice and avoid overcooking the shrimp.
