Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz linguine
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 0.5 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 lemon juiced and zested
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • salt and black pepper to taste

  • Large skillet

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving some pasta water.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet, then sauté garlic and red pepper flakes.
  4. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then remove from pan.
  5. Deglaze skillet with wine or broth and simmer briefly.
  6. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and remaining butter.
  7. Add pasta and reserved water, tossing to coat.
  8. Return shrimp to skillet, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp; use fresh lemon and garlic for best flavor.
