  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder optional
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce optional
Assembly
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise optional

Equipment

  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Partially freeze steak for easier slicing, then cut into thin strips.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook onions and peppers until soft and caramelized.
  3. Remove vegetables and cook steak in butter over medium-high heat until browned.
  4. Season steak and return vegetables to pan. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Divide mixture into portions and top with cheese slices to melt.
  6. Toast hoagie rolls lightly with butter.
  7. Fill rolls with cheesy steak mixture and spread mayonnaise if desired.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and melty.

Notes
