- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook penne until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook gently until fragrant.
- Stir in chili flakes, then add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer 15–20 minutes.
- Add drained pasta to sauce and toss. Use reserved pasta water as needed.
- Garnish with parsley and Parmesan before serving.
Notes
Adjust chili flakes to control heat level. Use high-quality tomatoes and olive oil for best flavor.
