Ingredients
  

Lemon Mint Cooler Base
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 4–5 lemons
  • 1/2 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp honey optional
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves lightly crushed
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup crushed ice
Garnish
  • 4 slices lemon slices
  • 4 sprigs mint sprigs

Equipment

  • pitcher
  • citrus juicer
  • wooden spoon or muddler

Method
 

  1. Place mint leaves in a pitcher and gently crush them with a spoon or muddler to release their aroma.
  2. Add fresh lemon juice, sugar, and honey to the pitcher and stir until the sugar begins dissolving.
  3. Pour in cold water and stir well to combine the ingredients.
  4. Add crushed ice and mix gently.
  5. Taste the drink and adjust sweetness or lemon juice if needed.
  6. Serve in glasses over ice and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs.

Notes

For a fizzy variation replace half of the water with sparkling water. Adjust sweetness depending on lemon tartness.
