Ingredients
  

Main Component
  • 1/2 cup tahini well-stirred
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-4 tbsp water to adjust consistency
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Optional Additions
  • 1 pinch cumin or paprika
  • parsley or sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Add tahini to a mixing bowl and stir until smooth.
  2. Mix in lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Gradually whisk in water until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
  4. Add olive oil and whisk until fully incorporated.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve or store.

Notes

Adjust water gradually for desired consistency. Add sweetness if bitterness is too strong.
