Ingredients
  

Main Component
  • 2 cups chickpeas cooked or canned
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice fresh
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin optional
  • 3 tbsp cold water adjust as needed
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for drizzling
  • paprika
  • parsley chopped

Equipment

  • food processor

Method
 

  1. Blend tahini and lemon juice in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Add garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin, then blend again.
  3. Add chickpeas and blend until smooth, adding water gradually to reach desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve with olive oil and garnish.

Notes

For ultra-smooth hummus, peel chickpeas before blending and use ice-cold water.
