Ingredients
  

Main Sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
Thickening & Finishing
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil optional
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes optional

Method
 

  1. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar, then simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.
  5. Finish with sesame oil and chili flakes, then remove from heat.

Notes

Adjust sweetness or thickness to taste. Best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge.
