Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 8 bone-in chicken thighs skin-on
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 lemon wedges for serving

Method
 

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry and place in a bowl.
  2. Mix barbecue sauce, olive oil, garlic, brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate chicken with half the sauce for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat grill to medium heat and oil the grates.
  5. Grill skin-side down for 6 to 8 minutes.
  6. Flip and cook another 15 to 18 minutes.
  7. Brush with remaining sauce during final 5 minutes.
  8. Rest 5 minutes, garnish, and serve.

Notes

Apply barbecue sauce near the end of grilling to prevent burning and keep the glaze glossy.
