Method
- Pat the chicken thighs dry and place in a bowl.
- Mix barbecue sauce, olive oil, garlic, brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate chicken with half the sauce for 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium heat and oil the grates.
- Grill skin-side down for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Flip and cook another 15 to 18 minutes.
- Brush with remaining sauce during final 5 minutes.
- Rest 5 minutes, garnish, and serve.
Notes
Apply barbecue sauce near the end of grilling to prevent burning and keep the glaze glossy.
