Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 8 oz dried noodles ramen or wheat noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 2 tbsp red chili flakes
  • 3 tbsp neutral cooking oil vegetable or canola
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
Garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Cook noodles in salted boiling water according to package instructions, then drain and reserve a little noodle water.
  2. In a heatproof bowl combine minced garlic, chili flakes, sugar, and sesame seeds.
  3. Heat oil until hot and carefully pour over the garlic chili mixture.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and salt to form the sauce.
  5. Add cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Top with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust chili flakes to control spice level. Add vegetables or protein for a heartier meal.
