Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
- In a bowl whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Pat salmon fillets dry and place them skin-side down in the baking dish.
- Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets and add lemon slices if desired.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with extra lemon wedges.
Notes
For extra flavor add red pepper flakes or a drizzle of honey to the garlic butter sauce. Do not overcook salmon to keep it moist and flaky.
