Ingredients
  

Watermelon Slushie Base
  • 6 cups frozen watermelon cubes seedless preferred
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup cold coconut water or regular cold water
  • 1 pinch sea salt
Optional Garnishes
  • watermelon wedges for garnish
  • lime slices for garnish
  • mint sprigs for garnish

Method
 

  1. Freeze watermelon cubes on a parchment-lined tray for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Add frozen watermelon, ice, lime juice, honey, mint leaves, coconut water, and sea salt to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and slushie-like, scraping down the sides if necessary.
  4. Adjust consistency with more liquid or frozen watermelon if needed.
  5. Pour into chilled glasses, garnish as desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best slushie texture, always use frozen watermelon and serve immediately after blending.
