Ingredients
  

Main Batter
  • 8 slices bread thick-cut
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
For Cooking & Serving
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • maple syrup optional

Method
 

  1. Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Dip bread slices into the mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  3. Cook on a buttered skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides, then serve warm.

Notes

Use thick bread like brioche for best texture. Avoid oversoaking to prevent soggy toast.
