Ingredients
  

Main Component
  • 4 large russet potatoes peeled and cut into sticks
  • 1 liter vegetable oil for frying
  • 2 tsp salt to taste
Optional Seasonings
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Equipment

  • deep fryer or heavy pot
  • Slotted spoon
  • paper towels

Method
 

  1. Wash, peel, and cut potatoes into even sticks.
  2. Soak the potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes, then drain and dry thoroughly.
  3. Fry at 160°C for 5 minutes, remove and rest, then fry again at 190°C for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy. Season and serve.

Notes

Double frying ensures maximum crispiness. Always dry potatoes before frying.
