Ingredients
  

Main Oatmeal
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk or plant-based milk
  • 6-8 dates pitted and chopped
  • 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey optional
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Chop dates and soak briefly if needed.
  2. Heat milk in a saucepan until simmering.
  3. Add oats, dates, cinnamon, and salt; cook for 5–7 minutes.
  4. Stir in vanilla and honey if using.
  5. Serve topped with walnuts and extra dates.

Notes

Adjust milk for desired consistency. Toast walnuts for enhanced flavor.
