Ingredients
  

Cupcake Batter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Buttercream Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing gently.
  5. Fill liners and bake for 18–22 minutes.
  6. Cool completely, then frost with prepared buttercream.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter to maintain a soft texture. Customize with flavors or fillings.
