  • 2 large onions sliced into rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
Coating
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs panko preferred
  • vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Slice onions into rings and separate them.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and spices, then add milk and egg to form batter.
  3. Dip onion rings in batter, coat with breadcrumbs, and fry until golden brown.

Notes

Maintain oil temperature for best results and use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
