  • 12 sticks mozzarella cheese sticks string cheese style
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1.5 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
For Serving
  • 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Method
 

  1. Set up breading station with flour, egg mixture, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
  2. Coat mozzarella sticks in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs twice for a double coating.
  3. Freeze breaded sticks for 60–90 minutes until solid.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F and fry sticks in batches until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with marinara sauce.

For best results, always freeze before frying and maintain proper oil temperature to prevent cheese leakage.
