- Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a baking dish.
- Pound the chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Coat chicken in flour, egg mixture, and seasoned breadcrumbs.
- Pan fry chicken until golden on both sides.
- Place chicken in baking dish and top with sauce and cheese.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until fully cooked.
- Garnish with basil and serve warm.
Notes
For extra crispiness, place the fried chicken on a wire rack for 5 minutes before adding sauce.
