Ingredients
  

Main Bread Base
  • 1 loaf crusty bread sourdough or Italian
Spinach Cheese Filling
  • 2 cups fresh spinach chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray.
  2. Slice bread in a crisscross pattern without cutting through the base.
  3. Sauté garlic in olive oil, add spinach and cook until wilted.
  4. Mix spinach with cheeses, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff mixture into bread cuts evenly.
  6. Brush melted butter over loaf.
  7. Bake covered for 15 minutes, then uncovered for 15 minutes until golden.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use sturdy bread and serve immediately for best texture and cheese melt.
