Ingredients
  

Main Casserole
  • 1 loaf brioche bread cut into cubes
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional Streusel Topping
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cold butter cubed

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Layer bread cubes and blueberries evenly in the dish.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over bread and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
  4. Add optional streusel topping if desired.
  5. Bake 45-55 minutes until golden and set. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best texture, use slightly stale brioche and allow the casserole to chill overnight before baking.
