- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer half the bread cubes followed by half the berries.
- Add remaining bread and berries, then pour whisked custard mixture evenly over the top.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight, then bake at 350°F (180°C) for 45–50 minutes until golden and set.
Notes
Use day-old bread for best texture. Let casserole rest before serving for cleaner slices.
