  • 1 loaf brioche bread cubed
  • 1.5 cups strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
Custard Mixture
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Optional Toppings
  • powdered sugar for garnish
  • maple syrup for serving

Method
 

  1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer half the bread cubes followed by half the berries.
  2. Add remaining bread and berries, then pour whisked custard mixture evenly over the top.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight, then bake at 350°F (180°C) for 45–50 minutes until golden and set.

Notes

Use day-old bread for best texture. Let casserole rest before serving for cleaner slices.
