Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 1.5 kg boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
BBQ Sauce Mix
  • 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Mixing bowl
  • Forks for shredding

Method
 

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and spices in a bowl.
  3. Pour sauce over chicken and add broth.
  4. Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  5. Remove chicken and shred with forks.
  6. Return shredded chicken to slow cooker and stir into sauce.
  7. Cook 15 more minutes and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with buns and coleslaw or use in wraps and bowls.
