Juicy homemade meatballs coated in smoky BBQ sauce and served in toasted hoagie rolls with melted cheese.

Ingredients
  

Meatballs
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
BBQ Sauce
  • 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

  1. Mix all meatball ingredients in a bowl until just combined.
  2. Shape into meatballs and bake at 200°C for 15–18 minutes.
  3. Simmer baked meatballs in BBQ sauce mixture and assemble subs with cheese before melting.

Notes

Toast the bread before filling to prevent sogginess and enhance texture.
