Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 500 g ziti pasta
Sauce
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
Cheese Layer
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Baking dish
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta until al dente and drain.
  2. Cook onion, garlic, and ground meat in skillet.
  3. Add marinara sauce and seasonings, simmer.
  4. Layer pasta, ricotta, sauce, and mozzarella in baking dish.
  5. Repeat layers and top with cheese.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 35 minutes until bubbly.

Let rest before slicing for best texture.
