  • 10-12 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
Optional Garnish
  • chopped parsley

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Pat chicken drumsticks dry and toss with olive oil and seasonings.
  3. Arrange drumsticks on tray and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Brush with barbecue sauce mixed with brown sugar.
  5. Bake another 15-20 minutes, flipping and glazing again.
  6. Broil for 2-3 minutes for a sticky caramelized finish if desired.
  7. Rest briefly and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, bake on a wire rack. Adjust sauce sweetness or spice level to taste.
